• 1. Know how to find the banking job you want. Use the different on line tools for searching careers. Take note of the e-mail addresses where you can send your resume. You may also contact your local bank’s human resource to know if there are any positions available.

    2. Let them know that you are interested.
Sell yourself (but not too much). Make your resume visible on job websites.

    3. Get to know the banking institution that you are applying to.
Use the internet to know the profile of the company. This can be an added point during your interview when you are familiar with them.

    4. Dress to Kill.
Proper attire is a must. Ask human resource for the proper dress code. No tattoos or piercings. Make sure that they are not visible if you have one.

    5. On time is not on time.
Arrive a few minutes earlier than your scheduled interview. If you are not familiar with the place, make sure to check it out ahead of time. Remember time is money.

    6. Know yourself.
Make sure that you can answer immediately what is being asked regarding your resume. This gives them the impression that what you have written is true.

    7. Make a last impression.
After your interview, thank the person who was involved in your interview. Shake the hand or send a short thank you e-mail.

    8. Lastly, Patience is a Virtue not a Talent.
Let them be the one to inform you of the status of your application. If they call, you get it. If not, move on to the next bank.
